Donation from “Bring One Home” sales supports senior meals

Proceeds from sales of Bring One Home made possible the purchase of 120 dine-in meals for senior citizens eating lunch at the Gogebic-Ontonagon Community Action Agency Mill Street Garden in Bessemer on February 12, 2026.

"It was my valentine to area residents who have been so supportive of my book and story of Bessemer," said Tom Pelissero, who grew up in Bessemer and now lives in Erwin Township. Pelissero has donated $7,500 from book sales so far to local libraries, school programs and senior programs.
